With multiple freeways, bus routes, the San Diego Trolley and dedicated bicycle paths, you will have plenty of options to travel around National City.
Interstate 5 and Interstate 805 run north and south, each providing quick access to all of National City and connecting it to other parts of San Diego. Residents with east and west commutes can take California State Route 54.
Several bus routes service the area, making it easy for those without cars to get around. Take bus route 929 for the most direct route to downtown San Diego. The area has stations for the Blue Line, Green Line and Yellow Line Trolleys, providing residents access to all of San Diego at a low cost.
Due to its central location, taxis and ride share services like Uber are readily available throughout the day. You can ride a bicycle around most of the area; furthermore, buses and trolleys also include bicycle racks for convenience.
